With the advent of fresh admissions around the block, you are one step closer to the ideal dream of pursuing the best PGDM course. There is only one issue—timing, or lack thereof. Most of the reputed colleges close their admission window by the dusk of August, or perhaps into the dawn of September.
Considering how the MAH-CET commences in the third week of August, waiting for admissions till the results are out somewhere in September into one of the most prestigious institutions like IES Management College, would be costly mistake. A mistake in timing that can be otherwise bypassed. How? ATMA is the valid solution here.
Conducted by the Association of Indian Management School (AIMS), the AIMS Test for Management Admissions (ATMA) is a prestigious entrance examination. In order to be eligible for the best PGDM colleges, you will need to sit for the ATMA exam.
Essentially serving as a post-graduate entrance examination, ATMA becomes a sensible bypass if you do not wish to wait for months in order to be part of fresh allotments for colleges offering the said course.
The online ATMA exam will be held on 24th July, 2022. Since it will be taking place in respective examination centres, strict COVID protocols are to be maintained.
The results will be out by 29th July, 2022.
In order to sit for the ATMA exam, one has to pay a sum of ₹1600. You can pay using debit or credit card, and cheques are not valid.
There are concessions available for women candidates and members of the North Eastern States such as Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Tripura, Mizoram, Meghalaya, etc.
Once your fee is paid, you will be provided with a unique Personal ID. With this, you will have to fill out your registration form. With this, be sure to have your other details at hand. Attributes like email ID, Aadhar Number, preferred test choice, City preference, and so on are needed to be filled.
Following this, you will have to upload appropriate files such as your photo, signature, and ID proof. Only then will your admit card be published, which you will have to print and carry a physical copy of.
What are the Important Dates and Deadlines Encircling ATMA?
While the date of commencement of registration is behind (31st May), it still isn’t too late to register. If you wish to get into a top PGDM college, make sure to pay the examination fees after registering for it, by 16th July.
The date for the closure of registration is the 17th of the same month. You will also have to print your application form by 19th July, following which you are expected to download your admit cards by 24th July.
Apart from the fact that most of the prestigious institutions like IES MCRC accept ATMA scores, it is also a fair bypass to the MAH-CET exams. More than 750 premier institutions accept ATMA scores, including IES Management.
Moreover, in order to be eligible for further rounds, you need to secure a fair cut-0ff percentile that can be as healthy as 70-75. Following this, you will be called for exercises and personal interviews.
As stated earlier, if you do not wish to wait for the next year's rounds of fresh allotments in order to be eligible to study in PGDM colleges in Mumbai—ATMA is your best bet. Keep in mind that the examination dates are closing in, so you would not want to miss out on this lucrative opportunity.
