Industry Visits

The students of PGDM and PGDM ( PM) had the privilege of visiting the Camlin Kokuyo Factory and the National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) at Patalganga on an industry visit on 17 and 18 October,2024. It was an enriching experience that provided valuable insights into two distinct industries. At the Camlin Kokuyo Factory, they observed the meticulous process behind the production of everyday stationery, including markers, glues, adhesives, and art supplies. The production unit was equipped with high-end, automated machines that ensured precision and efficiency in every process. Behind these advanced technologies were dedicated and skilled employees whose hard work maintained the consistent quality of Camlin’s iconic products. Watching the transformation of raw materials into familiar products from their childhood was both nostalgic and educational. The company's emphasis on innovation and sustainability left a lasting impression.

Their visit to NISM was equally engaging, offering a deeper understanding of financial markets and regulatory frameworks. The interactive session covered key aspects of securities market operations, investment strategies, and the critical role SEBI plays in maintaining market integrity. As future business leaders, these insights were incredibly valuable.  They expressed sincere appreciation to Camlin and NISM for welcoming them and providing such an insightful experience. They were truly grateful to their college for organizing the visit and extended thanks to the faculty and administration for making it possible.

Curriculum Revision

The Curriculum Revision Committee, Board of Studies, and Academic Advisory Council embody our commitment to academic excellence and innovation. These bodies ensure a dynamic, industry-relevant curriculum through collaboration with experts and adherence to educational standards, preparing students with skills aligned to global trends and societal needs.

Program Curriculum Review: The curriculum at IES MCRC for both programs is reviewed to enhance student learning, engagement, experience and outcomes. Functional Heads, along with their department's faculty, study and give suggestions on the curriculum and the required changes. This is then suggested in the BOS and later taken up in AAC for approval. This process is a response to changing recruitment requirements, industry trends, student feedback and quality assurance.

Board of Studies: The purpose of the BOS is to guide curriculum design, program development, and the overall quality of the teaching-learning process. The Board of Studies serves as a crucial advisory body, ensuring that the management institute remains updated, adapts to industry changes, and provides high-quality education to its students. The BOS members of various domains at IES MCRC consist of alumni, industry experts, and academic professionals from across industries and sectors within the country.

Academic Advisory Council: The apex body advises on academic and co-curricular programs, reviews programs, and suggests ways to improve them. Mock Interviews

To improve the employability of our students we take a number of steps. One of the important activities is to conduct mock interviews with full participation by industry professionals. These interviews are conducted with the purpose of giving meaningful inputs to the students about the areas where they need improvement. This experience goes a long way in helping students perform better when they go for campus recruitment process.
