Success Story: Hackathon 1.0
Hackathon 1.0 was conceived as a platform to foster innovation and help students hone practical problem-solving skills, data analytics skills, artificial intelligence knowledge and creative thinking.
In keeping with the theme "You, Us, and Analytics," this event was organized by the Avenir Analytics Club at IES's Management College and Research Centre. The goal was to sync academic knowledge and practical applications.
Hackathon 1.0 was a great success, drawing participants from all over India. The event attracted many entries from prominent Indian institutions, fostering a competitive and diverse environment. Participants used their analytical abilities in a marathon of problem-solving. The turnout demonstrated the event's importance in shaping future data scientists and analysts.
Encouraged by the success of Hackathon 1.0, we are thrilled to present Hackathon 2.0.
Hackathon 2.0 will give students even more competitions to showcase their skills in an encouraging environment.

Hackathon 2.0: "Unleashing innovative Ideas Through Tech and Data"
Hackathon 2.0, launched in December 2024, witnessed an overwhelming response with 486 registrations from students and professionals across the country. The event attracted participants from premier institutions such as IIT Kanpur, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Tirupati, BITS Pilani (Goa), Symbiosis Pune, and several other reputed organizations—making it a truly national-level innovation platform.
Out of the total registrations, 100 teams submitted entries in Round 1, demonstrating their creative problem-solving skills across six dynamic challenge tracks. Following rigorous evaluations, 17 high-performing teams advanced to Round 2, where competition intensified and ideas evolved.
The Grand Finale, held on February 22, 2025, at the IESMCRC campus, brought together the top three teams from each challenge. The final round featured the highly engaging Market Intelligence Challenge, pushing teams to apply their strategic thinking and data-driven insights under pressure.
To recognise the best minds, attractive cash prizes were awarded:

First Runner-Up: ₹12,000
Second Runner-Up: ₹9,000
Top Performer in Each Round 1 Challenge: ₹3,000
Hackathon 2.0 not only offered a competitive yet collaborative environment but also provided all participants with a platform to gain visibility, refine their data and analytical skills , and showcase their true potential. Objective
This challenge encourages participants to simplify a technical concept or digital process, making it accessible and understandable for non-technical audiences. The goal is to bridge the digital divide and promote tech inclusivity.
Submission Requirements
Participants must submit a simplified tech explanation or solution, including:
- Concept Title & Description: Clear name and summary of the topic being simplified.
- Chosen Technology/Concept: The tech process/tool being demystified.
- Target Audience: Who it's meant for (e.g., senior citizens, rural users, students).
- Solution Format: Explain whether it’s a video, poster, guidebook, demo, or training tool.

Top three winners from each of the Nine challenges will gather for a final showdown with a surprise challenge.
The top three of these 27 finalists will be declared the ultimate winners of Hackathon 3.0 2025 with attractive prizes.

Top 1 finalist team of each challenge would be getting cash prize of INR3,000 and all finalists will be awarded with the certificates during the on-campus finale round at IESMCRC.
One member of the 1st winning team will be eligible for a scholarship of INR 1 lakh upon enrolling in the PGDM program at IESMCRC.
