As a part of HR Functional Group Activities, Dr. Sukhada Tambe had organized a visit of our Second Year – HR specialization students to Central Labour Institute (CLI) on 10th July 2024. During this visit, the students got an opportunity to learn about the industrial safety, industrial hygiene, prevention of accidents, occupational safety & health, importance of ergonomics, colour coding in industry, industrial lighting, industrial ventilation, dock safety. They also took a quick tour to the CLI library which has a wide collection of books, magazines, journals and is a home to many rare books in the area of labour economics, labour welfare, industrial psychology. Students also visited Respiratory Personal Protective Equipment Laboratory, Non–Respiratory Personal Protective Equipment Laboratory, Industrial Hygiene Laboratory. This was a half day visit organized under the Appreciation Program of CLI. We are thankful to the CLI authorities for their cooperation and the detailed explanation of various aspects related to OSH (Occupational Safety and Health). Overall, the visit was informative and educative for the students.
