The 22nd IESMCRC Life Sciences Conference organised by the department of pharmaceutical management was held on Friday, March 15th 2024. The theme for this year was Indian Pharmaceutical Industry - Moving Up the Value Chain , From Cost Leadership to Intellectual Leadership: Challenges and Opportunities ".
The panel discussion was moderated by esteemed representatives of industry and academia namely Dr Ajit Dangi, Ms Shweta Rai, Dr Ashok Kumar Bhattacharya, Mr Brijendra Singh, and Dr Suneel Deshpande. Some remarkable and actionable insights were drawn which included increasing access to healthcare through collaboration, focus on increasing patient adherence to therapies, strengthening ethics and compliance in pharma, innovation in drug delivery systems and packaging of pharmaceutical products, and increasing Academia - Industry collaborations.
The panel discussion was filled with rich content, significant observations, and interesting statistics. It reflected positivity and exuded confidence in the future of the Indian Pharmaceutical Industry. Confidence towards contributing towards the vision of "Vikasit Bharat " by 2047.
During the conference, the IES MCRC Excellence Award for Exemplary Contributions in the Pharmaceutical Sector was conferred to Dr Ganesh Nayak(Executive Director, Zydus Lifesciences Ltd)
