A workshop on Visual Aids and in Clinic Detailing was conducted on 10th of January 2026, at IESMCRC, (Bandra West) to strengthen students’ understanding and practical skills in using visual aids for effective pharmaceutical promotion in clinical settings. The workshop was conducted by an external resource person Mr. Manish Khandpekar, having an extensive knowledge of over 20+Years of experience in Pharma brand strategy building. There were about 30 students studying PGDM Pharma Term II who were the active participants of the workshop.

The workshop highlighted the role of visual aids in enhancing doctor engagement, improving communication clarity, and enhancing message recall. Participants were introduced to key principles of effective visual communication, including simplicity, relevance, content accuracy, ethical standards, and alignment with clinicians’ limited time and information needs.
Topics covered included various visual aids used in clinics, such as detail aids, flip charts, leave-behinds, digital tablets, and patient education materials. Best practices related to content structure, the use of charts and graphics, font and colour selection, and regulatory compliance were also discussed.

Practical demonstrations and role plays enabled students to integrate visual aids into clinic calls. Feedback was provided on presentation flow, body language, and handling physician queries. Participants also evaluated sample visual aids and suggested improvements.
By the end of the workshop, participants showed increased confidence and a clearer understanding of how effective visual communication enhances professional interactions with healthcare practitioners.
