The Indian youth is fearless. The Indian youth is influential.  The Indian Youth is the epitome of leadership and management. Be it through core experience, or through esteemed PGDM courses, the Indian Youth has certainly taught the world a thing or two about management. What are those? Let’s find out.

Perseverance Always Pays off

The first and foremost attribute that the Indian Youth has expressed is perseverance. A strong will to win, a never-give-up attitude, and a bright smile in the face of adversity—this is what the Indian Youth is all about.

Think of how the Indian Hockey Team was treated like underdogs during the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Despite the slander, despite the mockery, despite all the hurdles—they managed to bag a historic bronze.

There is a lot of overlapping here with management. Once you enroll into a PGDM institute, you will be pushed to your limits and beyond. Be it through regular projects, or arduous tasks, or even trying to network in all the professional hullabaloo—perseverance is one tool that you will need up your sleeve.

Communication and Leadership

Speaking of other sports, there is a reason why Virat Kohli is a name that resonates with leadership all around the world. The world has seen what communication and leadership can do to the time. Rightly hailed as one of the Indian youth icons, Kohli has taught the world a rather important management skill.

One of the core elements of good and efficient management is strong leadership through communication. As a leader, you have to learn how to manage your team. With proper communication, you too can teach the world what the Indian Youth is all about.

Planning, Strategizing, and Forward Thinking

You can’t help but think of the educational app Byju’s when we mention “forward thinking”. What was once a stream that needed mundane offline classes to produce sub-par results, Byju’s has managed to revolutionize that entirely.

Online classes, integrated apps for studies, and regular examinations through the app itself is something that has borne out of the strategizing mind of Byju Raveendran. In a world where Western Education is exorbitantly priced, Byju has shown the world that the Indian roots are all about academia-for-all.

As part of management, there is a lot to learn here. If one wants to bring about true change and influence the world further, forward thinking and efficient planning is the need of the hour which is taught in top MBA colleges in India from day 1.

Creativity

Lastly, management is not just about core values and staying within one’s niche. Modern management requires you to be creative and constantly think outside the box. Take Prateek Kuhad for example. The world looked down upon Indian Indie performers on the pretext of being too monotonous, but Kuhad turned it around with his creativity.

The same goes for Parekh and Singh, or even The L0cal Train. The world imagined India to be a place of just local classical music, or commercial ones—but creative folks like these have shown the world that the Indian Youth have a lot more to offer.

Creativity also happens to be one of the quintessential elements of modern-day management. If you are creative, you will think of newer ways to market and sell your purpose—one of the finer skills taught in top management colleges in India.
